Kaskade, Swedish House Mafia's Steve Angello, Craig Kallman, Marc Geiger Announced For Insomniac's EDMBiz Conference
EDM industry execs and headlining artists will flock to the conference in Las Vegas the week prior to Electric Daisy Carnival to discuss all facets of the rapidly growing genre.
In case anyone on the planet still believes Electronic Dance Music isn't a serious business, a list of speakers for this June's inaugural EDMBiz conference announced today by Insomniac Events should dispel any illusions.
Popular EDM DJs Kaskade and Steve Angello of the Swedish House Mafia will head the confab's artists' slate; while industry speakers include among many others Atlantic Records Chairman/CEO Craig Kallman, William Morris Head of Music Marc Geiger and Daniel Glass, Founder and President of Glassnote Entertainment.
Also set to take the EDMBiz podium are AM Only's CEO Paul Morris, Stephanie LaFera, President/COO of Atom Empire and Donnie Estopinal, CEO of Disco Donnie Presents.

Promotions company Insomniac is launching the maiden EDMbiz conference June 5-7 prior to its 16th annual Electric Daisy Carnival which runs June 8-10 in Las Vegas at The Cosmopolitan in what is being called EDC Week.
Other industry speakers include Richard Bishop, Head of EDM at Red Light Management, Turntable.FM's Co-founder/Chairman Seth Goldstein, Matt Adell, founder of Beatport, Insomniac CEO/Founder Pasquale Rotella; Skip Paige, senior VP of Goldenvoice/Coachella, Andrew Dreskin, founder and CEO, Ticketfly, Michael Schneider, CEO of Mobile Roadie, Ian Rogers, CEO of Topspin Media, Google's New Business Development Principal Alexis Giles and Steve Goodgold of the Windish Agency (full-list of announced speakers below). Jason Bentley, the music director of LA's NPR-based affiliate KCRW and Morning Becomes Eclectic DJ, will serve as EDMbiz's host. In a statement Bentley said that: "As electronic dance music reaches new heights of popularity and influence in 2012, EDMbiz has been conceived as a key forum for business development in the community,"

Topics to be covered at EDMbiz, according to the release, include "best practices, social media, technology platforms, festivals, direct-to-fan relationships, licensing, branding, sponsorships, and sustaining community, humanity and credibility during this period of EDM's massive growth."
