Kate Middleton Wears 5 Stunning Ensembles in India
The Duchess looked gorgeous as she narrowly avoided a Marilyn Monroe moment while wearing a white dress in strong winds.
In just two days in India, Kate Middleton has worn five gorgeous head-turning ensembles. The Duchess of Cambridge has had a packed schedule of appearances with her husband, Prince William, and she’s managed to stun at every one of them.
The Royal tour of India kicked off when the picture-perfect pair touched down at the airport, Middleton wearing a red paisley scarf-print Alexander McQueen ensemble with a peplum — part of Sarah Burton’s pre-fall 2016 collection. They went on to the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, where they placed a wreath of white flowers on a memorial honoring the victims of 2008 terrorist attacks.
Later, the Duchess changed into a more casual printed pink and turquoise Anita Dongre dress (available for $236), paired with espadrille wedges, for a cricket match. She also kicked around a soccer ball, and was given a flower garland at the Banganga Water Tank, which paired with her frock beautifully.
For the evening event, Middleton looked to one of her go-to designers: Jenny Packham. With her husband, she attended a Bollywood-themed charity gala wearing a hand-beaded cobalt blue gown, along with matching sapphire earrings and coordinating clutch.
The next day, the fashion plate kicked things off with a cream-colored, collared Emilia Wickstead wool crepe dress. The ladylike number went perfectly with her Mulberry Baywaters clutch and simple Rupert Sanderson pumps, however as strong winds outside blew her skirt around, she seemed to struggle a bit to prevent a Marilyn Monroe moment.
The grand finale of day two came at the Queen’s birthday party in New Delhi. The Duchess wore a pale pink two-piece Alice Temperley gown with black beading and embroidery of Indian Chintz patterns on both the cropped top and long, silk-organza skirt. With her hair half-up, she managed to look totally regal yet approachable at the same time — a skill Middleton has mastered.
