J Brand Jeans to Sell Special Limited Collection for Charity

The denim brand will sell three limited-edition pairs to benefit the nonprofit organization City Year, which works to keep students in school.
Denim for a good cause: Hollywood's favorite denim label J Brand (Reese Witherspoon, Zoe Saldana and Sarah Jessica Parker are fans) has announced a special limited collection.
Beginning Oct. 18, the brand's signature skinny jeans will be available in vine green, berry and taupe with 100 percent of the company's net proceeds being donated to City Year -- it's a nonprofit group that works to reduce the number of high school dropouts. You can shop the styles exclusively online at J Brand's site (http://www.jbrandjeans.com/) until they sell out.
City Year, which works closely with the entertainment industry, provides mentoring and tutoring services to help at-risk students stay on track. Both CAA, a partner to J Brand, and DreamWorks' Stacey Snider, who was recently honored for her work with City Year, played a role in connecting City Work with J Brand.
"High schools just a few miles away from where our jeans are produced have some of the highest dropout rates in the nation," says Jeff Rudes, founder and CEO of J Brand. "As a Los Angeles-based company, City Year is a perfect way for J Brand to make a difference and give back to our community."
And, with the special-edition pairs available in both women's and girls' sizes ($144), you may see loyal J Brand fan Katie Holmes and her stylish mini-me (daughter Suri) both stepping out in them.
