The pop singer used her Twitter account to thank her fans and shun the gossip.
Katy Perry’s Twitter has been silent since the news about her divorce from Russell Brand came out on Dec. 30.

“Concerning the gossip, I want to be clear that NO ONE speaks for me. Not a blog, magazine, "close sources" or my family,” she wrote on Twitter.

On Dec. 30, Brand announced that he was filing for divorce from Perry. "Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage. I'll always adore her and I know we'll remain friends," the 36-year-old British actor and comedian released in a statement.
