Katy Perry Performs in a Silver Striped Michael Kors Dress at the DNC
The pop star is one of Hillary Clinton's biggest cheerleaders.
When it comes to being a superstar supporter of Hillary Clinton, there's no one more dedicated than Katy Perry. In January, she first declared (on Instagram, at least) that she was with Clinton when she posted a photo of herself pointing to a TV screen featuring Clinton's face while wearing an Alice + Olivia sweater that read "Hillary for President."
Since then, the pop star has rocked a shirt that says "Hillary Clinton Is A Badass," urged her 53.1 million followers to volunteer for Clinton's presidential campaign and took over Clinton's official Instagram account during her Iowa rally (where she wore a sparkly custom Michael Costello gown that featured an American flag-print cape).
Now, on day four of the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, Perry is continuing to rally for the Democratic presidential nominee by taking to the stage to perform her new anthem, "Rise," which will also be used during the 2016 Rio Olympics," and her hit single, "Roar." Styled by Leslie Fremar, the pop star matched her sparkly, striped Michael Kors dress with a patriotic choker and American flag-bedazzled mic.
"For this event we were very happy to support Michael Kors, an American brand, and the nod to the stars and strips was a fun twist," says Fremar. "Her necklace and rings: vintage Bulgari from Eleuteri were the perfect accessory to pull it all together."
Hours before hitting the stage, Perry donned slide sandals on the convention floor and teased, "guess where I am."
