Kea Ho's Precedent Pictures Forms Partnership With Accel Media (Exclusive)
Developing projects include a television adaptation of a comic book property acquired by Accel earlier this year, which will star Ho in the title role, and a Hawaii-set feature documentary.
Accel Media is forming a strategic partnership with Precedent Pictures, a newly formed production company founded by actress and producer Kea Ho, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively.
The New York City-based venture links Precedent and the India-based media company Accel Media in Chennai, as Precedent develops and produces film, television and digital projects tailored for the global market. The first projects include a television adaptation of a comic book property acquired by Accel earlier this year, which will star Ho in the title role, and a Hawaii-set feature documentary.
“I’m excited for the opportunity to work with Accel,” said Ho, whose work includes Sin City: A Dame to Kill for, Flock of Dudes and Urge. “Their international reach, breadth of services and dedication to supporting creatives makes them the perfect partner for the projects we want to create at Precedent.”
Added Accel Media chairman N.R. Panicked: “We are thrilled to be working with someone of Kea’s caliber and stature on this joint venture. Kea’s talents, screen presence and the appeal of her unique multicultural background made her the perfect fit for the projects which we are excited to bring to market."
