Kemp, Williams latest to join net drama club
EmptyIn the latest round of pilot castings, Will Kemp has been tapped as the male lead in CBS' drama pilot "Ny-Lon," Olivia Williams is set to co-star on Fox's "Dollhouse" and Matthew Lillard has signed on to co-star opposite Geena Davis in CBS' drama presentation "Exit 19."
Additionally, Yara Martinez has joined Fox's comedy pilot "Spaced" and Eion Bailey has come onboard CBS' drama presentation "Can Openers."
"Ny-Lon," from ABC Studios, centers on a New York store clerk (Elisha Cuthbert) and a London stock broker (Kemp) who embark on a cross-continental romance.
Joss Whedon's "Dollhouse," from 20th Century Fox TV, revolves around a group of young men and women, aka "Dolls," who are imprinted with different personalities. Williams will play the ruthless and protective Adelle, who runs the Dollhouse. She is repped by ICM and Independent Talent Group.
"Exit 19," from CBS Par and ABC Studios, stars Davis as Gloria, a quirky Manhattan homicide detective who also is a single mom.
Lillard will play Gloria's younger brother who lives with her.
"Spaced," from Warner Bros., revolves around two strangers (Sara Rue, Josh Lawson) who pose as a married couple in order to rent an apartment. Martinez, repped by APA and manager Danielle Allman, will play the woman's best friend.
"Can Openers," from Sony, revolves around neurosurgical residents. Bailey, repped by ICM and Robert Stein Management, will play a chief resident.
