Jamie Kennedy is joining the cast of the CBS drama "Ghost Whisperer" as a regular.

Meanwhile, Seth Green is set to appear on NBC's "My Name Is Earl."

On "Ghost," which returns for a fourth season in the fall, Kennedy will play Eli, a graduate student in psychology at the local university who forms a bond with Melinda (Jennifer Love Hewitt).

Kennedy, repped by Paradigm, fills the void left by the upcoming departure of Jay Mohr.

Mohr, who had been a regular on "Ghost" for the past two seasons as Professor Rick Payne, is expected to appear on the first couple of episodes next season when his character, Payne, will go on sabbatical. Mohr will segue full time to his new comedy series for CBS, "Project Gary."

On an episode of "Earl," Green will play Buddy Zaks, a former Make-a-Wish child whose wish of starring in an action movie was ruined by Earl (Jason Lee). In order to cross Buddy off of his list, Earl must produce Buddy's dream film.

Green, who recently wrapped the Disney feature "Old Dogs," next appears in Summit Entertainment's "Sex Drive." He is repped by Endeavor and Koopman Management. (partialdiff)
