Kevin Hart: 5 Best Stand-Up Routines
The 35-year-old comedian stars in this weekend's 'The Wedding Ringer.'
2014 was a big year for Kevin Hart at the movies.
He was in Chris Rock's critically acclaimed Top Five, played opposite Ice Cube in Ride Along, reprised a previous role for Think Like a Man Too and starred in About Last Night, a remake of a 1986 adaption of the David Mamet play Sexual Perversity in Chicago.
With a starring role in Friday's comedy The Wedding Ringer, as well as the March release Get Hard — which sees Hart starring alongside comedic heavyweight Will Ferrell — 2015 is looking like it could shape up to be another good year for Hart.
With all of his recent success at the cineplex, it is easy to forget about the 35-year-old's bread and butter: stand-up comedy. In case you're still unfamiliar with Hart's stand-up routines, here are a few clips to get you started.
I'm a Grown Little Man (2009)
From his special I'm a Grown Little Man, Hart talks about why he wants to be a rapper.
Laugh at My Pain (2011)
From his special Laugh at My Pain, Hart talks about hiring a SpongeBob character for a birthday party.
Let Me Explain (2013)
In a clip from Hart's most recent concert movie, Let Me Explain, the 5-foot-4 stand-up recalls a time when his bodyguard lifted him up like a toddler.
SNL Opening Monologue (2013)
When Hart hosted Saturday Night Live for the first time, his opening monologue included a recounting of his SNL audition from years ago, including the impressions that he auditioned with.
Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee (2014)
It isn't stand-up, but it's still hysterical.
Hart joins fellow comedian Jerry Seinfeld for a spin in a 1959 Porsche RSK Spyder and talks about the early days of his career in Philadelphia and how he got hit by a car in New York City.
