Kevin Nealon and Conan O'Brien Remember the Hans and Franz Musical That Never Was
Arnold ruined it for everyone
Kevin Nealon stopped by Conan O'Brien's show Tuesday night, and the duo got to talking about their former Saturday Night Live days. O'Brien asked Nealon about the recent revival of popular SNL characters Hans and Franz in new State Farm commercials, leading Nealon to recount a funny story of the first time he spoke with Arnold Schwarzenegger about the skit.
The nostalgia session hit a high note when Nealon revealed that the plans to turn Hans and Franz into a girlie-men musical were completely thwarted by Schwarzenegger, who got cold feet and backed out.
We don't know whether to boo Schwarzenegger or thank him. That musical would have been a beautiful, ridiculous disaster.
