Kim Kardashian Breaks Silence About Motherhood
Kim Kardashian has finally opened up about becoming a new mom.
In a brief post titled "Thank You" on her Celebuzz blog, Kardashian said she's enjoying her time at home with her family.
"These past couple of weeks have been filled with the most exciting experiences of my life," she wrote Wednesday. "I’m enjoying this time to fully embrace motherhood and spend time at home with my family."
Kardashian added that, while she has been lying low, she's still been paying attention to well wishes from fans.
"I’ve been reading all of your messages and want to thank you all for your sweet thoughts and best wishes," she wrote. "It truly means everything to me. I am so blessed to have the support of my family and fans in this beautiful moment. Xo."
Kardashian gave birth to a baby girl, named North, on June 15 at Cedars-Sinai in West Hollywood. Rapper Kanye West is the father.
The baby arrived a month early because of medical complications" potentially related to preeclampsia, a condition that includes high blood pressure and severe swelling, according to reports.
She reportedly has moved in with her mom, Kris Jenner, while her home with West is being renovated.
There had been speculation that baby North would make her public debut on Jenner's new talk show, Kris, in its Monday premiere. While the new talk show host did bring out an infant, it wasn't her new granddaughter but the child of Jenner's stylist.
“You thought it was [North]?” Jenner asked the audience, according to reports. “No,no, no, no, no. I couldn’t do that to Kim. That would be kidnapping.”
She added, “I think Kim’s just got to do that on her own time. Let her enjoy privacy for a little bit and calm down. And when she comes out, she comes out!”
