Kim Kardashian Expresses Happiness on Wedding Day, Thanks Fans for Their Support
"I can't believe it's finally here!," Kardashian wrote on her website hours before she would walk down the aisle on Saturday.
In a few hours, Kim Kardashian will be a married woman.
On Saturday, she took to her blog with a post titled, "Today Is the Day," to talk about what's to come and to express her happiness over her wedding to NBA player Kris Humphries of the New Jersey Nets.
"I can't believe it's finally here!," Kardashian wrote on her website hours before she would walk down the aisle. "Thank you so much to everyone who made this day happen!"
"Even though you can't all be there to help me celebrate today, it would mean so much to me if you could sign my Virtual Wedding Guestbook …," she continued. "You guys mean the world to me, and I want to thank you for all your love and support."
The Hollywood Reporter reported that exclusive photos of Kardashian's wedding to Humphries were sold to People for $1.5 million, according to insiders. The glossy paid $300,000 to the couple for their engagement announcement in May. British magazine OK! paid $100,000 for the exclusive bridal shower coverage.
Saturday's wedding has been estimated to cost at least $500,000 but those costs are offset by items like a free $20,000 Vera Wang wedding gown and a lucrative deal with E! to broadcast a two-part TV wedding special in early October.
Other celebrity couples who have made money from their weddings include Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas and Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes.
On Friday, Kardashian tweeted to some of her friends, including Eva Longoria and LaLa Vasquez, who expressed excitement over the next day's impending nuptials.
