Kings of Leon to Rock Up for Band Doc in U.K.

Tribeca Film Festival

Grammy-winning band expected to support movie biography.

LONDON – Grammy-winning rock band Kings of Leon will be beating its own drum with a scheduled arrival in the U.K. to support  the rollout of biographical feature doc Talihina Sky: The Story of Kings of Leon.

The band's movie is set to garner its European premiere during this year’s Edinburgh International Film Festival later this month before being rolled out across the U.K. by indie distributor Revolver Entertainment.

Kings of Leon will be on hand for a live Q&A with audiences across the country immediately after the screening as the film plays out simultaneously at 150 sites nationwide via satellite.

The doc recently took its world bow during the Tribeca Film Festival in NYC earlier this year.

It charts the band’s humble beginnings in the deep South, with heavy doses of alcohol, recreational drugs and importantly, rock ‘n’ roll.

The film is directed by Stephen C Mitchell and produced by Casey McGrath of Phear Creative.

The all-rights U.K. distribution deal was struck between Revolver’s Dave Bishop and Lucy Taylor, Micah Green at CAA and Ken Levitan and Andy Mendelsohn at Vector Management.
