Kirstie Alley's Surprise Visitor on 'Dancing With the Stars'
After a season filled with mishaps, she got some advice from John Travolta Monday.
John Travolta appeared on ABC's Dancing With the Stars on Monday night to help out his Look Who's Talking co-star Kirstie Alley.
Alley and her professional partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy have had two weeks' worth of mishaps: Two weeks ago, the pair fell after Chmerkovskiy's leg gave out, and last week Alley lost her shoe mid-performance.
Travolta -- who has put his own dancing skills on display in such films as Grease, Saturday Night Fever and Pulp Fiction -- appeared in a pretaped segment as Alley's "Dance Doctor."
He first advised Alley to try wearing sneakers instead of the heeled dancing shoes the female contestants wear.
"I suggest perhaps a high-top," Travolta quipped.
He also joked that they should fix their "sexual tension" issue.
So did the advice help?
Alley and Chmerkovskiy scored 23 points out of 30, landing them in fifth place out of eight pairs of contestants. That's one point better than they earned last week.
Here are the standings after Monday night's telecast:
Hines Ward and Kym Johnson -- 27 points
