KISS, Motley Crue Co-Headline Summer Tour (Video)
The hard rock bands are going on the road together for two months, starting July 20 in Bristow, Va.
Get ready to rock, heavy metal fans: KISS and Motley Crue will embark on a joint tour this summer.
The vintage hard rock outfits are set to share the stage for the first time since 1982, kicking off a 40-city jaunt in Bristow, Va., on July 20. The bands will bounce from such North American destinations as Toronto, Minneapolis, Houston and Atlanta before wrapping things up in Hartford, Conn., on Sept. 23.
The collision of bands brings together KISS members -- Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer -- and Motley Crue's crew of Vince Neil, Mick Mars, Nikki Sixx and Tommy Lee.
Between them, the rockers have amassed more than 200 million albums, sold-out tours and more than 30 hit songs. Tickets go on sale Friday on Ticketmaster and Live Nation's website. Both bands will have fan club pre-sales starting Wednesday at 10 a.m.
Watch the press conference that announced the trek -- moderated by THR music editor Shirley Halperin -- in the video below.
