Kris Jenner Says Kim Would be an Amazing Mayor, Talks Kourtney's Baby, New E! Contract (Video)
The reality TV matriarch and shrewd producer stopped to talk at the THR-Google Pre-WHCA Dinner Party about politics and her family's exciting new developments.
In a room full of power players, Kris Jenner certainly held her own.
Lawmakers and media titans mingled at THR and Google's Pre-White House Correspondents' Association Dinner Party, but very few could match the sheer immediate public notoriety and cultural impact of the woman behind the Kardashian reality TV empire. Fresh off a new $40 million deal to continue her family's growing empire of shows on NBCUniversal's E! Network, the momager was all smiles as she spoke to THR on the red carpet and teased even more potential power for her family.

While husband Bruce Jenner keeps her informed on the goings-on of DC on a daily basis -- "Unless I put ear plugs on, I listen to it all the time," she said -- she didn't want to tip her partisan hand (meanwhile, a night later, her daughter Kim Kardashian revealed that the family's children are Democrats while the parents are Republicans).
She did, however, comment on those rumors that Kim would make a good mayor of Glendale, California.
"I think somebody in Glendale was talking to her about holding the mayor position. I think Kim is so busy right now, but who knows. Stranger things have happened," she said, before adding a little endorsement for her daughter's governmental aspirations. "Actually, she would be amazing at holding office, because she's so smart and she's got the kind of personality that she can handle something like that, but I think right now, we've got our hands full at the moment."
As for whether she might develop a show based on the nation's capital, Jenner teased, "Kim, Kourtney and Khloe Take DC... now don't come asking me for ten percent!"
