Compromising photos of the "Snow White and the Hunstman" star and director have led to a media feeding frenzy.

It's the betrayal that has broken untold millions of Twihearts: Kristen Stewart, 22, issued a heartwrenching admission of infidelity Wednesday to People.com, after photos surfaced of the Twilight star kissing her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders. The news shocked fans of Stewart and her longtime boyfriend, Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson, 26.

Sanders' model-actress wife tweets one word -- "wow" -- just hours before the news breaks. Her Twitter account is later disabled.

4. Drunk Snow White and Instagram Rumors (Tuesday, July 24)

A rumored second post from Ross, this time to Instagram, features an image of Walt Disney's Snow White crying and drinking from a bottle on which a bird is perched (inset).

Accompanied is the caption, "Not so pretty or so pure after all ....." Ross' privacy settings are reportedly changed shortly after it goes up.

5. Us Weekly Releases the Story (Tuesday, July 24)

The neck-kissing photo is splashed across the cover of the celebrity weekly, in a story titled "KRISTEN CHEATS ON ROB!" Inside are the shots of the two kissing inside the car. Gossip blogs begin circulating the news that Stewart has cheated on Pattinson.

6. Twihards Revolt (Tuesday, July 24)

Stewart and Pattinson's passionate fanbase take to social media like Twitter and YouTube to decry what they consider a Photoshopped-enabled smear campaign against the actress. 

7. Stewart Reads Mean Tweets on Jimmy Kimmel Live (Tuesday, July 24)

Poorly timed comedy: As part of the show's ongoing series "Celebrities Read Mean Tweets," Stewart reads, "I liked Kristen Stewart more when she was a boy," then adjusts her jeans.
