Krazed Kylie Jenner Fans Krash Lip Kit Website
Another Kardashian breaks the Internet.
At 9 a.m. PST, Kylie Jenner's much-awaited lip kit launched exclusively on LipKitByKylie.com. At 9:50 a.m., Jenner notified fans that due to high-demand, the Lip Kits, $29 each, had already sold out.
"Sold out! I'm so happy but so sad at the same time lol," she captioned a since-deleted Instagram of the three kits. "But don't worry I'm releasing more before Christmas and after that and after that. And you guys are so amazing I might just have to do a free giveaway this week. YAY I LOVE U GUYS." Because the post has been deleted, its unclear as to whether there are anymore kits in stock — but either way, the demand has already caused some early Monday morning chaos.
The announcement followed just minutes after Jenner posted (and also deleted) a message informing krazed Kylie fans that too much activity caused the site to crash.
"So the Internet has been broken lol. But everybody stand by. There are so many people on the site right now we are having some tech issues! We are working on it. Keep checking!"
Though both posts have since been taken down, it appears that the site is still experiencing some technical difficulties caused by "higher traffic than normal." At press time, customers attempting to buy the kits were encouraged to "check back in 15 minutes."
The youngest of the Kardashian-Jenner krew has been using her infamous pout to her advantage to market the kits, which come with a liquid matte lipstick and liner and are available in three natural shades: Dolce K, True Brown K and Candy K.
According to a press release, the line was completely self-produced by Jenner, who had a hand in everything from lab tests to packaging design. "This was a long process but an amazing one!" reads another Instagram posted this morning. "Visiting the factories and sitting with the amazing chemists creating the perfect colors and formulas for you guys! This is all me and I put my everything into these lip kits."
