L.A. Sheriff's Deputies Shoot Suspect at Santa Monica Metro Stop
The suspect, whose condition is unknown, had a knife, a witness says.
Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies shot a man at the Downtown Santa Monica Metro Stop on Tuesday.
The shooting happened around 12:45 p.m. in the area of at Fourth Street and Colorado Avenue, according to the sheriff's department. No additional information was immediately available.
A witness to the shooting said on social media that the suspect had a knife.

No deputy was injured. The suspect, whose condition is unknown, could be seen on the ground, receiving medical attention, according to aerial news footage. The suspect was later transported to the hospital, according to authorities.
That Metro stop is closed as the investigation continues, according to authorities.
