The artist will perform a tribute to Bowie at this year's Grammys.

Ahead of her tribute to David Bowie on Monday’s (Feb. 15) Grammy Awards, Lady Gaga solidified her love of the legendary artist with a Ziggy Stardust tattoo on the side of her body.

Gaga was inked in Los Angeles by famous tattoo artist Mark Mahoney on Saturday,TMZ reports. The experience was caught on camera by onlookers and shared on social media. Check out the short clip below of Gaga getting the sizable tattoo.

"When I fell in love with David Bowie, when I was living on the Lower East Side, I always felt that his glamor was something he was using to express a message to people that was very healing for their souls," Gaga told THR. "He is a true, true artist and I don't know if I ever went, 'Oh, I'm going to be that way like this,' or if I arrived upon it slowly, realizing it was my calling and that's what drew me to him."

Earlier this month, Grammy producer Ken Ehrlich told the New York Times that Gaga had already been booked to perform at the Grammys prior to Bowie's death, and as the tribute came together, it made sense for her to perform it solo.

The Grammys air live on CBS Feb. 15.
