Lady Gaga, NAS, 'Jersey Shore's' Pauly D Appear in 9/11 Remembrance Promo (Video)
The PSA encourages Americans to pay tribute on the 10-year anniversary through acts of charity.
Lady Gaga, Nas, Jersey Shore’s Pauly D, Drake Bell, Fran Drescher and Julianne Hough appear in a new PSA for the 10-year anniversary of 9/11.
“We were in disbelief,” says Gaga in the PSA. “We all watched the second tower fall together.”
Made by Viacom, the short “I Will” video promo for the 9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance has the entertainers talking about their experience on September 11, 2001, and their plans for the 10-year anniversary.
“I was mortified by what I was seeing,” said Fran Drescher.
The entertainers then ask the viewers what they will do on the anniversary. The promo is a part of the campaign to encourage Americans to pay tribute on the 10-year anniversary of 9/11 by engaging in good deeds, supporting charitable causes, or volunteering in their communities.
Julianne Moore, Tim McGraw, Kevin Spacey and Jimmie Johnson are also featured in promos created by GOOD/Corps, Deutsch LA and Rock Paper Scissors. Other videos feature survivors and members of the 9/11 community.
MyGoodDeed and HandsOn Network are the lead organizers of the 9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance. The videos premiered on Tuesday, September 6, and will run through September 11.
