Runway Rock: Lady Gaga's Stylist Plays Pop Throwbacks
Diana Ross and Sister Sledge made the cut at stylist-turned-designer Brandon Maxwell's first-ever runway presentation.
THR cover star — and red-carpet-stylist-turned-designer — Brandon Maxwell picked an upbeat mix for his first runway show, which took place at NYC’s Mr. Chow. In the show notes, Maxwell called designing a “lifelong dream” and deemed his first collection “a labor of love.”

Maxwell’s longtime client Lady Gaga and designer pal Alexander Wang both sat front-row as models walked the runway to tunes by Diana Ross, Sister Sledge and Billy Joel.
A black, bell-shape suit jacket and jumpsuit opened the show, followed by more black, white and blush (what’s proving to be the hottest hue for spring 2016) styles — there were 31 looks total.
