Larry Singer honored by MPSE

First ADR supervisor awarded career achievement honor

Larry Singer will be honored a Career Achievement Awards by the Motion Picture Sound Editors at the 2010 Golden Reel Awards on Feb. 20 at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles.

He is the first ADR supervisor to be presented with the award.

"Working closely with the director and actors, the ADR supervisor, with its subtleties, helps to capture and breathe life into the intent of each project. The MPSE is honored to present such a virtuoso as Larry Singer with this award," MPSE president Bobbi Banks said.

During the course of his 30-year career, Singer has worked with such directors as Steven Spielberg, Robert Zemekis, Rob Reiner and John Landis, and his credits include "AI: Artificial Intelligence," "Saving Private Ryan," "A Few Good Men" and "Back to the Future."
