Legend3D Completes 2D-to-3D Conversions of 'Shrek' Films
Company is offering consumers who buy a Samsung 3D TV and 3D Blu-ray player that includes a collection called "Shrek: The Whole Story."
Legend3D has completed a 2D-to-3D conversion of DreamWorks Animation’s Shrek, Shrek 2 and Shrek the Third.
These titles have been bundled with the fourth film, Shrek Forever After, which was made in 3D, through a promotional offer with Samsung Electronics.
The consumer electronics company is offering consumers who purchase a 2010 Samsung 3D TV and 3D Blu-ray player or home theater system a 3D starter kit that now includes the Blu-ray collection dubbed Shrek: The Whole Story.
Bundles such as this are a part of the 3D Blu-ray format’s rollout, which began last year at CES and will remain a big topic this week at CES 2011.
Legend3D used its proprietary 2D-to-3D conversion process, which combines its technology with the creative involvement of filmmakers. The company’s conversion credits include work on Alice in Wonderland.
