Legend3D Introduces Stereo Works
New unit is the umbrella for native stereo repair and stereoscopic VFX work.
The 2D-to-3D conversion company Legend3D has introduced a division dubbed Stereo Works.
This is the umbrella for services including native stereo repair to address camera anomalies, lens refractions and reflection issues, as well as stereoscopic rotoscoping, color matching, and compositing. Jared Sandrew, Stereo Works’ head of creative and Legend3D’s stereoscopic visual effects supervisor, does not rule out offering 2D visual effects.
These services are being offered out of Legend3D’s San Diego office.
The company's credits including conversion work on Transformers: Dark of the Moon and Top Gun. In late 2011, it secured venture capital financing, including a $19 million Series E Preferred Stock offering, to fund R&D.
