Legendary buys duo's plot for saving future
EmptyWriter Matt Cirulnick and producer David Manpearl have sold a pitch for an untitled futuristic movie to Legendary Pictures.
The project is set in a future in which humans have lost a war to an enemy race and follows an uprising led by a young man who escapes the prisons where humans are being held.
The script is envisioned as the beginning of a film franchise that will be exploited across a number of digital platforms.
Cirulnick, repped by Endeavor and Brillstein Entertainment, recently completed "Stones" for director Ridley Scott and Fox 2000 and also is writing "The Lost Patrol" for Legendary. Cirulnick and Manpearl also are teamed on the project "Elysium" at Regency.
