Former Legendary TV Chief Jeremy Elice Inks Starz First-Look Deal
Segueing into a producing role after stints at Legendary and AMC, Elice has launched Elice Island Entertainment.
Former Legendary TV chief Jeremy Elice has landed at Starz.
Elice has inked a two-year first-look deal at the premium cable network through his newly launched production company Elice Island Entertainment.
The move comes four months after news surfaced that Legendary was proactively pulling the plug on its 19-month-old deal with Warner Bros. Television, thereby shutting down its TV division. Lauren Ruggiero, who worked under Elice at Legendary, is set to join him as a creative exec at Elice Island.
Prior to Elice's stint at Legendary, where he ran the feature film company's day-to-day TV activities, he was a rising star at AMC. When he arrived at the cable network in early 2006, AMC was not yet a destination for acclaimed scripted originals. Elice, who once appeared on The Hollywood Reporter's Next Gen list, was intricately involved in the development of some of AMC's earliest darlings, including Breaking Bad.
Elice is repped by Ginsburg Daniels.
