Lena Dunham Gives Her Blessing to Your Kardashian Obsession
Turns out she and Jenni Konner are big fans, too.
For fear of being labeled shallow (or worse, basic), we admit that our insatiable obsession with all things Kardashian/Jenner are usually veiled under the "guilty pleasure" guise.
But rejoice, world, we no longer need to hide our true selves. Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner — the gold standard in feminist voices in the 21st century and two of THR's Top 5 Cultural Influencers in New York — have given their blessing to love the Kardashians openly and without shame.
"I love them all," admitted Konner during last night's taping of Late Night With Seth Meyers, while speaking of a particularly memorable instance when Khloe Kardashian tweeted praise for the duo's newsletter Lenny Letter.
"She's the best Kardashian," Konner confessed of Khloe. Added Dunham, "For us, she's the peak Kardashian experience." (We couldn't agree more.)
And as for the Kardashian haters, Dunham is having none of it. The 29-year-old defended the fam against a handful of her own followers who argued that the sisters are poor representations of Dunham and Konner's feminist message. "They're awesome entrepreneurs who are all about sisterhood and connection," she said. "I think they're really a role model for our relationship, honestly."
There you have it, permission from Lenny Letter co-founders to let your Kardashian flag fly.
