Myriad Pictures' Scoundrel Media will finance and handle worldwide sales for the film, which will be shopped at AFM.

Game of Thrones' Lena Headey will star in thriller The Woman of the Woods.

Myriad Pictures' Scoundrel Media label will finance and handle worldwide sales for the film, kicking off sales at the American Film Market in Santa Monica.

Written and to be directed by Russell Friedenberg (Wind Walkers, Among Ravens), Woman of the Woods centers on Kelsey (Headey) and her husband, who go on one last family camping trip to tell their young daughter that they'll be separating. But after an evil presence begins to influence their daughter, they return to Seattle, where a police detective becomes convinced that the young girl is responsible for a series of murders.

"I'm totally amped to bring Woman of the Woods to audiences around the world with Myriad Pictures and the incredibly talented Lena Headey," said Friedenberg. "Lena brings an authenticity and emotional power to her work that is uncompromising."

Heather Rae (Frozen River) will produce.

Headey is known for playing Cersei Lannister in HBO's hit series Game of Thrones. Her upcoming films include Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, hitting theaters on Feb. 5, and she’ll voice act in animated film Reds and Grays. She's repped by CAA, Troika, and TMT Entertainment Group.

Myriad’s Audrey Delaney, senior vp marketing & acquisitions and Kevin Forester, COO, negotiated international sales rights to the film for Myriad Pictures, with Heather Rae negotiating on behalf of the filmmakers
