Lenny Kravitz Is Designing a CB2 Collection
The rocker, whose penis popped out onstage recently, has created a collection inspired by his world travels and personal experiences.
Everyone knows Lenny Kravitz has serious skills onstage with a guitar in his hands — even when his penis accidentally pops out onstage. Ditto when it comes to rocking leather. He has even proven his chops acting. But who knew his talents extended to design.
Many probably don’t know that Kravitz — whose daughter Zoe Kravitz is also quite the multihyphenate — designed Queen Latifah’s daytime talk show set back in 2013. And, surprise surprise, he also has his own design firm, Kravitz Design Inc. The firm’s latest project: A “natural glam” collaboration with CB2, to debut Oct. 1.
The 20-piece CB2 x Kravitz Design by Lenny Kravitz collection — which will be available for presale Sept. 15-16 for those who can’t wait — will be the renaissance man’s first foray into furniture. And already it sounds perfectly Kravitz, with a '70s feel that straddles the glam NYC club scene and California’s music scene from that time. Expect lighting, rugs, pillows, wall decor and furniture in cool combinations of leather, wood, metal, rich textiles and reflective surfaces.
Of the collection, Kravitz said, “Our goal was to create a collection of pieces based on my personal style and the things that have inspired me throughout my travels. This collection will appeal to a diverse group of people and we look forward to using [the pieces] in future Kravitz Design projects as well as my houses in Bahamas and Brazil.” Now the big question: Where can we get an invite to check out one of those pads?
