Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire Invest in Mattress Company
The company, Casper Sleep Inc., is now valued at $555 million.
Casper Sleep Inc. has raised $55 million in a new round of venture funding, reports the Wall Street Journal.
Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Adam Levine and Scooter Braun all joined in on the Series B round of funding, led by Institutional Venture Partners.
The online mattress company was made famous because of its "bed in a box" deliveries, which would be delivered by bicycle to customers in New York City. Customers could receive their orders within hours of ordering.
Co-founder Philip Krim says the company, reportedly now valued at $555 million, will use the funds to become "the global brand that's about the best of everything when it comes to sleep."
