Tea Leoni has joined the cast of the Ricky Gervais-Greg Kinnear romantic comedy "Ghost Town" for DreamWorks and Spyglass Entertainment.

The story centers on a dentist who dies briefly during routine dental surgery and gains the ability to see dead people who ask him for help in contacting the living. Leoni will play a woman whose dead husband is trying to derail her impending marriage.

David Koepp is helming from a script he penned with John Kamps. Shooting is scheduled to begin in October in New York.

Gavin Palone is producing the film, which will be distributed worldwide by Paramount Pictures.

Leoni's credits include "Deep Impact" and "Hollywood Ending," both of which were distributed by DreamWorks, as well as "The Family Man," "Jurassic Park III," "Spanglish" and "Fun With Dick and Jane." She next will appear in the IFC film "You Kill Me," opposite Ben Kingsley and Luke Wilson.

She is repped by UTA.
