Lerner’s Big Louisiana Bet

Louisiana’s film industry will get a major boost March 31 as Millennium Studios opens a 6.7-acre facility in Shreveport. The 73,000-square-foot campus will take advantage of the state’s 30 percent tax incentive, upped from 25 percent in July. The credit has led to a rush of filming, including 16 Millennium projects such as Mad Money and Drive Angry. “We hope to bring a lot more productions to Shreveport,” Nu Image chairman Avi Lerner says.
