Lewis moves to WBDTD for biz role
EmptyVeteran Warner Bros. Entertainment executive Andy Lewis has been named executive vp and general administrative manager at Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution, where he will oversee business operations.
Lewis will oversee finance, administration, planning and analysis at the domestic distribution unit. He joins WBDTD after a decade at Warner Bros. Animation, where he most recently was executive vp and GM.
At WBA, Lewis oversaw all operational aspects for the animation studio, including finance, planning, business affairs and facilities. He was promoted to executive vp in 2004 after serving as senior vp and GM for seven years.
Lewis will report to WBDTD president Ken Werner, who noted that he's worked with Lewis on and off for the past 20 years.
"Wherever Andy has worked, he has had a tremendously positive impact," Werner said. "He is an incredibly talented executive, a creative and resourceful strategist with a broad and deep understanding of the television business."
Before joining Warner Bros., Lewis worked at Buena Vista Television for eight years, rising to vp finance, planning and distribution. He oversaw the financial and operational functions of the domestic distribution division, including syndication (station and advertiser sales), basic and pay TV sales, pay-per-view and first-run production.
Before that, Lewis was director of finance at Columbia Pictures Television. He began his career at Viacom Enterprises.
