Liam Neeson's Nephew Suffers Serious Head Injury in Fall
The nephew of actor Liam Neeson has suffered a serious head injury after falling from the top of a seaside telephone booth.
Police say 31-year-old Ronan Sexton was out with friends when he fell about 20 feet (6 meters) from a phone kiosk beside the pier in Brighton, England, on Sunday at around 4 a.m. local time.
A Sussex police spokesperson could not confirm the name of the victim, but told The Hollywood Reporter in a statement: "The man had been enjoying a night out with friends, who were present when he fell, and the incident is not being treated as suspicious. There is no further police investigation."
He was admitted to a local hospital but later transferred to a specialist neurological center.
Sexton's mother, Bernadette, is the sister of Northern Irish actor Neeson.
Neeson's wife, actress Natasha Richardson, died in March 2009 after hitting her head while skiing. Neeson said in February he had found it hard to accept her death, telling 60 Minutes: "It was never real. It still kind of isn't."
