Liana Liberato, Olga Kurylenko Join 'The Expatriate'
Aaron Eckhart stars in the action thriller, which is currently filming in Montreal.
Liana Liberato and Olga Kurylenko have joined the cast of the action thriller The Expatriate, starring Aaron Eckhart, which has begun filming in Montreal, Canada.
Eckhart plays an ex-CIA agent in the film, which Philipp Stolzi is directing from an original screenplay by A.E. Amel.
Liberto, who most recently appeared in David Schwimmer’s Trust and who has a recurring role in FX’s Sons of Anarchy, will play Eckhart’s 15-year old daughter.
Kurylenko, who appared in Quantum of Solace and will be seen in Roland Joffe’s upcoming There Be Dragons, will play a CIA agent and former lover of Eckhart’s character.
A Canadian/Belgium co-production, the picture, which will also film in Brussels in May, is being produced by Karl Richards of eMotion and Jonathan Vanger and Claude Leger of Montreal-based Transfilm. It is being exec produced by Informant Media and Smash Media. Executive producers are Informant's Judy Cairo, Michael A. Simpson, Howard Meltzer and Eric Brenner and Smash Media’s Harry Winer.
Essential Entertainment, which will also executive produce, is handling international sales for the title, while CAA's independent film sales team is repping the U.S. rights.
CAA also reps Eckhart, Liberato and Kurylenko, the latter of whom is also repped by Tavistock Wood.
Funding for the film is being provided by the Informant Media Film Fund, Informant Europe, Lankn Partners, Adrian Politowski's uMedia, FIDEC and the National Bank of Canada.
