Ang Lee's Oscar contender opens the New York Film Festival on Friday.
A new trailer for Ang Lee's much-anticipated 3D adaptation of the Yann Martel novel Life of Pi features cameos from Irrfan Khan and Rafe Spall.
Khan is shown narrating the story of his surreal ocean odyssey to Spall, who plays a writer. As THR previously reported, the Prometheus actor replaced Tobey Maguire in the role.
The official Pi trailer was released in July, and the potential Oscar contender will hit theaters Nov. 21. It opens the New York Film Festival on Friday.
