Lindsay Lohan freed from L.A. jail

Actress ordered to wear alcohol monitor, stay out of bars

Lindsay Lohan left a Los Angeles jail late Friday night after posting $300,000 bail.

The actress had been in custody for about 15 hours. She was sent to Los Angeles County women's jail in Lynwood, Calif. for violating the terms of her probation by failing a court-mandated drug test last week.

The "Machete" actress is now required to wear an ankle alcohol monitor and stay away from bars, according to the Associated Press.

On Friday morning, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Elden Fox ordered that the actress be held without bail until an Oct. 22 hearing. Assistant supervising Judge Patricia M. Schnegg overturned that ruling Friday afternoon and said Lohan was entitled to bail because her crimes had been misdemeanors.

Lohan has now been in jail three times stemming from a 2007 drug and drunken driving case. Her first incarceration in 2007 lasted 84 minutes and earlier this summer, she spent 14 days behind bars after which she went to rehab.
