Lindsay Lohan is Voting for Mitt Romney, As of Now
Though Hollywood has largely backed President Obama's re-election bid, Lohan becomes one of several celebrities to swing right this year.
Maybe President Obama should have been a more attentive Twitter buddy.
Lindsay Lohan on Thursday said that she was leaning toward voting for GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney this November, telling E! News that "I just think employment is really important right now," and so, as of now, the former governor of Massachusetts had her backing.

When asked why she chose Romney over Obama, she teased that it was a "long story," though it may have its roots in an unrequited tweet from last month. After Obama's team wrote quoting the president brandishing his middle class and small business tax cuts, Lohan replied, "we also need to cut them for those that are listed on Forbes as "millionaires" if they are not, you must consider that as well."
Obama did not acknowledge her concern, casting Lohan alongside Amanda Bynes in the ranks of former child stars that got their tweets ignored by the Commander in Chief. Bynes in June asked the leader of the free world to fire the Los Angeles police officer that arrested her for DUI.
The decision for Lohan could also be connected to the housing market; when police were called over a dispute between Lohan and her mother earlier this week, it was reported that they were arguing over a $40,000 loan the actress gave her mother to keep her home out of foreclosure.
Lohan, though not officially declaring herself a Republican, joins (for now) the list of declared celebrity Romney supporters, which includes elder statesmen such as Jon Voight, Clint Eastwood and Kelsey Grammer, and younger stars such as Clueless actress Stacey Dash, who also anounced her backing of the Republican standard bearer this week.
