Lionsgate International Completes Reorganization
The mini-studio's international feature film arm bolstered its sales and publicity teams with a number of promotions following the recent acquisition of Summit Entertainment.
TORONTO - Lionsgate Motion Picture Group Co-Chairman Patrick Wachsberger has completed a restructuring of the Lionsgate International division, with new management blood in the sales and publicity forces unveiled Thursday.
Joining Wachsberger at the head of Lionsgate International is executive VP of international sales Anne-Marie Ross, a long-time Lionsgate exec, and senior VP of international sales Crystal Bourbeau, who joined Lionsgate in 2007.
Also joining the international sales team is executive VP Wendy Reeds, who also heads up sales for the recently launched Celestial Tiger Entertainment venture in Asia.
The restructured international marketing and publicity operations will be led by executive VP of international marketing and publicity Jill Jones.
Jones most recently served as senior VP of international marketing and publicity for Summit Entertainment.
And executive VP of international distribution Brad Kembel, another Summit veteran, will oversee international distribution operations for the Lionsgate International division.
Making way for the new changes is Lionsgate's Helen Lee Kim, who will leave the company later this year, after the upcoming Cannes Film Market.
The Lionsgate International restructuring follows Lionsgate acquiring Summit Entertainment, led by Wachsberger and Rob Friedman, in January 2012.
"Backed by a tremendous pipeline of films, we believe that this team of entrepreneurial executives is superbly qualified to lead the Lionsgate and Summit brands for years to come in an international marketplace rich with opportunity," Wachsberger said in a statement.
