Locarno Fest to Team With Bogota Audiovisual Market in Industry Event
The top films from the Colombian market will have a place at Locarno's Industry Days.
ROME -- Switzerland's Locarno Film Festival announced Tuesday it had teamed up with Colombia's Bogota Audiovisual Market to present its top projects at Locarno's Industry Days market event.
The initiative has launched three years after Locarno's Carte Blanche co-production initiative focused on Colombia. This year, Carte Blanche -- which selects five to seven films in post-production to participate in the festival, with producers meeting sales agents, buyers, festival programmers and other industry figures -- will focus on neighboring Brazil.
The agreement with the Bogota Audiovisual Market will bring the top three fiction projects to Locarno’s Industry Days event, which will take place August 9-11.
The Bogota Audiovisual Market, a platform for agreements and partnerships between local Colombian producers, audiovisual service companies, distributors, sales agents, TV channels and international buyers, will take place in Bogota from July 14-18.
The 67-year-old Locarno Film Festival runs August 6-16.
