Locarno to honor actor John C. Reilly
To screen European premiere of Reilly's latest film, 'Cyrus'TAORMINA, Sicily -- The Locarno Film Festival announced Wednesday that it would host a special tribute to actor John C. Reilly at this year's event, while screening the European premiere of Reilly's latest film, "Cyrus," at the festival's massive Piazza Grande venue.
"Cyrus," a comedic love story, is directed by Jay and Mark Duplass, who will join Reilly for the Aug. 7 screening.
Organizers for the 63-year-old festival said that the picturesque outdoor Piazza Grande will also be the site of a sneak preview of "The Invisible Boy," a feature film from French artist Philippe Parreno. The evening will also include some of Parreno's short films, as well as the full screening of his 2006 film "Zidane: A 21st Century Portrait."
The full lineup for the Aug. 4-14 festival will be announced on July 14.
