The Lonely Island have always been hard to take seriously. More so when they're dressed as sailors.

The comedy crew joined Jimmy Fallon and The Roots for a performance of "I'm on a Boat" with classroom instruments.

The Tonight Show host displayed his talents across the wood block, bass drum, Casio keyboard and kazoo while the Lonely Island's Andy Samberg got to work with the rubber duckie and Akiva Schaffer played a dolphin (really). Jorma Taccone was the quiet party, reading from a book, The Joy of Land, while wearing a dunce cap.

The comedy trio's mockumentary Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping hits theaters June 3. Watch their Tonight Show performance below.
