Longines Becomes Official Title Sponsor of Three Masters Series Events
The luxury watchmaker will now sponsor the Paris competition in addition to Masters events in Los Angeles and Hong Kong.
Luxury watchmaker Longines has signed on with EEM to become the official title partner of the Longines Masters series on three continents — Europe, Asia and America.
Created by EEM, the Masters concept was introduced in 2009 with the first edition of the Gucci Paris Masters, which now will be renamed the Longines Masters of Paris. The other two Masters events in Los Angeles and Hong Kong had already carried the Longines moniker.
Recognized by the Federation Equestre Internationale, the Masters series ranks as one of the most prestigious equestrian competitions in the world.
The Longines Masters of Los Angeles — scheduled for Oct. 1-4 at the Los Angeles Convention Center — launches the 2015/2016 series as the sport’s top show jumpers compete for a $1 million purse. The Longines Masters of Paris is scheduled for Dec. 3-6 while the Longines Masters of Hong Kong will take place on Feb. 19-21, 2016.
The Longines Masters of Los Angeles is expected to draw in the neighborhood of 30,000 spectators. Included on the events schedule: the Gucci Gold Cup and the Charity Pro-Am Style and Competition that sees riders and celebs dress up to raise money for charity; the Longines Grand Prix, an Olympic-level class with a course featuring jumps up to 1.60m in height; a dressage exhibition; master classes from top international riders; cuisine from two Michelin-star chef Yves Mattagne; and the Prestige Village with its Kids Corner and shops from international partner brands including Hermes and Gucci.
