Los Angeles Animation Fest to Honor Will Vinton
Event will hold a 25th-anniversary screening of the animator's 'Adventures of Mark Twain.'
The Los Angeles Animation Festival, which screens Dec. 3-7 at Cinefamily's Silent Movie Theatre in Los Angeles, will honor animator Will Vinton by holding a 25th-anniversary screening of his The Adventures of Mark Twain.
The fest lineup also includes a program devoted to the filmmaker's short films.
A leading innovator in the world of stop motion and 3D animation, Vinton will be on hand for an awards presentation and to answer questions about his work.
Vinton, who has received five Oscar nominations, received the Academy Award for best short animated film for Closed Mondays in 1975.
