Lucas Hedges Joins Casey Affleck Starrer 'Manchester-by-the-Sea'
Kenneth Lonergan is writing and directing the feature, which also stars Kyle Chandler.
Lucas Hedges, who played the pivotal character of Richie in NBC’s recently-concluded The Slap, is joining the cast of Kenneth Lonergan’s Manchester-by-the-Sea.
Written and directed by Lonergan, the film will star Casey Affleck as a ne’er do well plumber who returns to his hometown after his older brother, played by Kyle Chandler, passes away only to find himself caring for Chandler’s 16-year-old son, the part Hedges will play.
Kevin J. Walsh, Chris Moore and Matt Damon, who initially was set to star, are producing along with Kimberly Steward. Steward's K Period Media is financing with the company's Lauren Beck and Josh Godfrey exec producing.
Lucas, repped by Paradigm and Anonymous Content, was last seen on film playing Jeremy Renner’s son in Kill the Messenger.
