Given Lupita Nyong'o's rapid rise to bona fide style star (thanks in part to one of THR's 25 most powerful stylists, Micaela Erlanger), the Council of Fashion Designers of America has tapped the Oscar winner as a presenter for this year's CFDA Awards.
The 12 Years a Slave actress, who was recently named People's Most Beautiful person, will be on deck to present the Womenswear Designer of the Year award, according to WWD. Alexander Wang, Joseph Altuzarra and Marc Jacobs are among the designers nominated for the prize.
The event, hosted by writer-director John Waters, will be held at Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall in Manhattan on June 2. We'll be waiting to see what Nyong'o wears to the awards show, of course.
