Lyndsy Fonseca getting in 'Hot Tub'

Actress lands role in time-travel comedy

Lyndsy Fonseca has turned on the jets.

The actress has booked a part in United Artists' time-travel comedy "Hot Tub Time Machine," now shooting in Vancouver. Fonseca will play Jenny, the girlfriend that slipped away from John Cusack's character in 1987 whom he revisits when he and some friends accidentally travel back in time via their Jacuzzi.

Fonseca, repped by ICM and Management 360, just completed shooting "Kick-Ass" opposite Nicolas Cage. She continues in her roles on HBO's "Big Love" and the CBS sitcom "How I Met Your Mother" and stars with Drake Bell in the CBS comedy pilot "The Fish Tank."

Fonseca had recurring roles on "Desperate Housewives" and "The Young & the Restless."

"Hot Tub," which is scheduled for a February release, also stars Rob Corddry, Craig Robinson and Lizzy Caplan. The screenplay was written by Josh Heald; Steve Pink is directing.
