Madchen Amick cast in 'Enemy'
To play Christian Slater's wife on NBC's new drama seriesChristian Slater has found a new wife.
Madchen Amick has been tapped to co-star opposite Slater on NBC's fall drama series "My Own Worst Enemy."
"Enemy," from UMS, centers on Henry (Slater), a mild-mannered suburban dad whose alter ego, Edward, is a suave spy.
Amick will play Henry's wife, who has no idea about his double life. She replaces Yara Martinez who was originally cast in the role.
This is the second major change on "Enemy" in the past 10 days.
Show creator Jason Smilovic recently took a back seat in the day-to-day operations on the series, and co-exec producer John Eisendrath was elevated to executive producer/showrunner.
"Enemy," which just wrapped production on its David Semel-directed pilot, is set to air in the plum post-"Heroes" Monday 10 p.m. slot. It originally was scheduled to launch Sept. 29, but the premiere was pushed to Oct. 13 to showcase the sophomore drama "Life" behind "Heroes" for two weeks and to help "Enemy" stay in originals through December.
Amick, whose series credits include "ER" and "Twin Peaks," is repped by Gersh and Affirmative Entertainment.
