The couple, who married in 2009, also have a five-year-old daughter, Ramona together.
Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard are adding to their family.
The actress' rep confirmed the happy news telling The Hollywood Reporter Monday, "yes, she and her husband are expecting."
The pair, who married in 2009 and have a daughter, Ramona, 5, together, have not yet announced the baby's sex.
